# TripLink Phase 2 — Vehicle Inspection & Background Screening

## Status

Implemented — awaiting QA / approval. See [`PHASE_2_APPROVAL.md`](../approvals/PHASE_2_APPROVAL.md).

**Do not start Phase 3** until this phase is signed off.

## Entry conditions

Driver must have:

- `DRIVER` role
- Phase 1 identity verification **APPROVED** (`account_status = IDENTITY_VERIFIED`)
- Account not suspended

Otherwise they are redirected to complete identity verification.

## Verified Driver badge

Issued **only** when Admin approves Phase 2 overall verification (`driver_verifications.status = APPROVED` and `badge_status = VERIFIED`).

Identity-only approval (Phase 1) does **not** grant Verified Driver or trip-capable access.

## Inspection mode

Configured in `app/config.php` → `phase2.inspection_mode`:

| Mode | Behaviour |
|------|-----------|
| `TRIPLINK_REVIEW` (default) | Ops reviews vehicle evidence in Admin |
| `PARTNER_INSPECTION_CENTRE` | Driver selects a centre; inspection scheduled |

Partner centres are seeded but optional — not mandatory.

## Driver flow

1. Vehicle details (plate, make, model, year, seats)
2. Required photos: front, rear, side, plate
3. Ownership / authorization evidence
4. Inspection method
5. Submit → under review
6. Pending / action required / verified outcomes

## Admin flow

- Dashboard metrics (inspections + screenings)
- Driver Verification queue
- Record inspection PASSED/FAILED
- Mark screening checks PASSED/FAILED/REQUIRES_REVIEW
- Approve only when blockers cleared
- Reject / request info / reinspect / suspend (audited)
